Let’s hear it for the girls! The girls of MuscleHack that is.
I decided to put together a post detailing some of the women who have taken my training and dietary advice and made radical changes in their bodies (and lives). It has been my pleasure to help these women achieve their goals – and I aim to help even more in the future.
While this should fuel the motivational fire for other females reading this, it should actually inspire the guys even more! Why? Because it’s much harder for women to build muscle. And it also takes longer and is harder for women to get ripped. If these girls can do it, you guys can do it too. You have no excuse!
NOTE: If any ladies reading this have a MuscleHack testimonial to share, get in touch with me via the contact form.
Before I start, I want to say that women do NOT need to train differently from men. Human physiology is universal i.e. we are all comprised of the same stuff (fat cells, muscle fibers etc.).
We all build muscle in the exact same way, and we all lose fat in the same way, too.
Big corporations know that most people don’t know this and so they put out separate products for women. If the product has a picture of a toned woman plastered on a pink box, more women will buy it. Unfortunately it’s true. But it’s just marketing. It has no basis in fact or reality.
Yes there are some differences between women and men:
- Women have far lower levels of testosterone than us men (generally 10 times less circulating testosterone). No girls, you won’t get “bulky” if you lift weights
- Women have more body fat than men (subcutaneous and visceral)
- Women have less muscle mass than men
- Women’s muscle fibers are smaller than that of men
However, does this mean that women should train differently than men? Nope.
Women should train just as the guys do. Think about it ladies…
* Nothing in the world will sort out that sagging butt better than squats – NOTHING
* Nothing in the world will give you square, toned shoulders like overhead barbell or dumbbell shoulder presses
* Nothing will improve your posture more than weight training
* Nothing will give you those nice sculpted arms you want more than weight training
You can fall for all the latest gimmicks if you like. You can turn up religiously at aerobics class, but these activities will never even come close to the power of weight training. They simply do not provide the progressive overload required to make radical changes in body shape that weight-training does.
Bottom line: Your results will be different and slower in coming. The method of getting there should NOT be different.
MYRA MARSHALL
First up is Myra Marshall. Her full MuscleHack article is here.
“I searched through tons of websites, blogs, and forums and then I found MuscleHack and started reading every article I could get my hands on. The human body is the human body, male or female; we are just as capable of doing the same exercises as men and we should do the same exercises that they do.” Myra Marshall.
LISA HAULISKA
Next we have Lisa Hauliska, who at 46 years old, has one of the most impressive midsections I’ve ever seen.
“I spent my off season on the MANS diet and followed your THT workout. I cannot tell you how many people I refer to your site! Some don’t believe that’s “all” I used this last year to get where I am, but I tell them, yes it is!” Lisa Hauliska.
BRANDI MCATEE
Now how about Brandi McAtee, who ate bunless cheeseburgers on her way success! Her full MuscleHack article here.
“I found the MuscleHack site in January of this year (2011). I couldn’t believe the difference it made in my training! I gained more muscle and got so much stronger in 2 months than I had the entire YEAR of training before! The difference in the amount of muscle I have now is amazing!” Brandi McAtee. This is Brandi’s Facebook profile (and this is her Fan Page).
CLARA MOSHA
Clara Mosha, 47yrs young in London, UK was one of my “lab rats” for my recent “Chest Blast” experiment. Gaining 1.5 inches on her chest was a remarkable result!
(the only female who completed the blast and owner of Ultimate Physique Training)
She said, “Hey Mark, so I managed to get in 3 sessions- Mon 24th November, Thursday 27th Nov, and today. After the first session I was extremely sore until Thursday. Thursdays session was therefore a struggle due to soreness.
My chest still feels tight with visible upper pec development. That’s all you can see on a woman! Lol! My anterior delts and arms both feel tight and have visibly improved in shape. Here’s the info you require:
Chest size BEFORE and AFTER:
- Session 1- 34″
- Session 2- 35″
- Session 3- 35.5″
REALLY REALLY enjoyed this workout. I have never been challenged like this doing a chest workout. For women I would say if you want to develop a nicely shaped upper body this is for you!
The results are amazing! I really didn’t think you could make such a difference in measurements and aesthetics in 1 week!
In terms of soreness I have one comment…. Insane. After my 1st session my upper body was so sore that even coaching my clients was a struggle.
As mentioned earlier I loved this workout and was honoured to have been picked as a guinea pig! Thanks Mark and keep up the good work!!”
DAVINA FRIESE
Davina got ripped at age 41 and after having 4 kids. That’s impressive!
This is Davina’s facebook profile as proof of authenticity.
“I’ve been following your Total Six Pack Abs way of eating for three weeks and I’m at the leanest I have ever been!
I’m 41, mom of 4 (16 yo daughter, 14 yo son and twin 12 yo boys) living in Melbourne, Florida, USA.
Dropped 40 lbs in 2007 and have been active ever since.
Food has been my biggest struggle. I could work out several times a week (H.I.I.T style/combined with strength training) and still not lose the body fat I wanted.
Last month, I stumbled across your Total Six Pack Abs book, purchased it and decided to track macros.
I was surprised to see I was not getting enough protein and even though I was eating whole food carbs, I was eating way too many.
Since using your TSPA calculator [comes from with the program] to figure out my macros, I have had amazing results, and see my goals within reach.
I’m so happy to finally be achieving these goals!”
LISANDRA BENITEZ
Lisandra Benítez is a 35 year-old woman from Puerto Rica. I follow her on Instagram. She posts some great stuff there! Also, you can get me on Instagram here.
“Hello Mark!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and method with the rest of us, it has changed my way of life to a better and hotter than hell one 😀
My name is Lisandra Benítez. 35 years old woman. Ex athlete. Single. No kids. Puerto Rican. Somewhat curvy. Small package full of energy. Always in need of a 36 hours day. Full time job. About to finish a master’s degree. Beach babe. Salsa dancer. Highly social gal. GIS specialist. High-strung nature. Constantly in motion.
I was at a crossroads. I needed a new challenge because my agenda wasn’t full enough (full of sarcasm here). I discovered TSPA by way of a friend who has been doing ALL the “muscle hacker programs” at different periods of time.
As an athlete, the goal of my training was not to gain muscle or definition. In the disciplines I participated in (halterofilia, track and field, and court volley ball) I needed speed, cardio-vascular resistance, strength, and flexibility. Muscle growth was just a side-effect of the process and muscle definition a byproduct of the training sessions.
It was not, by any means, the focus of the terribly long sessions of training.
But Total Six Pack Abs has brought it ALL to the surface.
I call the TSPA results: The Lisa Revamping Process or The Awakening Process. I LOVE THE RESULTS!!! It’s an addiction I love to crave.”
Thank you, Mark”

Here’s the deal: It’s easier for us guys to build muscle and lose fat than it is for women. When a female gets a six-pack, you just HAVE to respect the obvious dedication.
Here’s something that gets on my nerves: I hear guys in their mid-late 20’s sometimes complain that it’s too late for them to get the body they want!
“I don’t have the energy any more” “My metabolism is slower now”. All types of terrible excuses.
Anyone can lose fat and build muscle. If you keep doing both, you’ll end up muscular and ripped.
I cringe when I hear guys in their 20’s complaining that they can’t get a six-pack. Get real! Share on X
For hormonal reasons, women hold on to fat more than we do. Their fat loss rates tend to be slower than ours. They don’t have our level of muscle mass, muscle fibers, or testosterone.
So with everything you’ve just seen, what excuse do men have?
(By the way, Total Six Pack Abs comes with an 8-week no-quibble money-back guarantee. You get your abs or you get your money back. I’m that confident about this program.)
There are 2 things that you need to succeed, whether you are a man or a woman:
- A “made up” mind i.e. total commitment (see this post for more)
- The correct and most effective strategy to reach your goal
How do you know that you have an effective strategy? Well, just looking at how others have succeeded with that strategy should give you a pretty good idea 😉
So are you ready to pack on muscle? Are you serious about doing this? Is your mind truly made up and committed? Yes. Great!
Here is the strategy…

Mark
I’m a man and I also told myself this in my twenties. That I was never going to look like I wanted. Now in my forties I do! It’s down to 2 things. Mark’s advice here at musclehack and not making any excuses for myself. It can be done at any age!
Well done to these ladies!
