Can I ask you something? How many eggs do you eat?
For building muscle, eggs really are a “perfect food”. You see, for muscle growth we need high-quality protein. And eggs are a “MUST HAVE” protein. You’ll always see a few trays of eggs in my shopping basket.
(1) HIGHEST QUALITY REAL-FOOD PROTEIN
The quality of a protein is decided by its ‘completeness’ and ‘bio-availability’. Taking those into account, eggs are the best real-food protein on the planet. Only whey tops it. That’s why I include eggs in many of my Buff Baking recipes.

(2) PROTEIN CONTENT
A whole egg will provide 6g protein with only 80 Calories. 4 x eggs delivers a nice 24g of protein (320 cals).
And for getting ripped and keeping calories lower, you can always have 2 x whole eggs and 4 x egg whites for the same 24g protein with 208 cals (112 fewer calories).

(3) CONJUGATED LINOLEIC ACID
CLA has been shown to aid the fat-loss process without the need of stimulants like caffeine or ephedrine. I personally don’t see any need to take a CLA supplement if you eat a real-food diet.
For a good list of CLA sources, see this Livestrong article. By the way, the CLA is found in the yolk, so don’t throw away all those yolks!
(4) VITAMINS
Eggs are a great source of vitamin A, E, K, B vitamins, riboflavin, and folic acid.
(5) BETTER RECOVERY = BETTER GROWTH
Since eggs have a perfect nutritional profile for the bodybuilder, you’ll recover at an optimal rate between workouts.
And anyone that’s been reading my work for any time knows, the recovery process IS the growth process. You don’t grow in the gym, you only stimulate in the gym. Growth occurs during the recovery period between workouts. You need optimal nutrition for optional recovery and growth.
Eggs will help you come back bigger and stronger week after week.

How about if you have high cholesterol how many eggs should I eat?
My protein post workout shake consists of five raw eggs, two scoops of whey protein, teaspoon of creatine, teaspoon of glutamine and a teaspoon of peanut butter blended.
Roughly 90 grams of protein.
