In this article I will introduce you to a formula that will allow you to accomplish virtually anything you want in your life.

It’s a success formula, or ‘The Ultimate Success Formula’ according to guru Anthony Robbins.

It was modeled from the behaviors and attitudes of the most ‘successful’ people on the planet.

It doesn’t matter what the goal actually is, it works for everything. Whether you want:

  • A Better Body
  • More Financial Abundance
  • Better Relationships
  • A More Fulfilling Career
  • Fill in the blank ______________

You can have them. If these things are missing from your life, the only difference between you and those that have attained them is a mindset. It’s a way of thinking, that’s it!

What you want to do is to ‘soak your mind’ in the neurology of those who have already succeeded.

Using this formula can help you rapidly switch to this mindset. I used it to get the type of body I wanted. I am also using it with this website to great effect.

So here goes; this is the Ultimate Success Formula in my own words…

Identify Outcome Action Feedback Change or Stick? Succeed

(1) Your first job is to set a goal for yourself. This is easy! If you don’t know where to start, identify the things you don’t want and go for their opposite.

How to set goals is a topic in itself but I give instructions in this post. In short, make them specific and create a deadline. Above all – WRITE THEM DOWN and look at them often.

(2) The second task is to start taking some action. Do NOT get overwhelmed though. You can only take 1 step at a time. Do one small task at a time and think only of that task. Thinking of EVERYTHING you have to do will ultimately result in you feeling like it’s all too much.

The way I get around this is to get everything out of my head and onto paper, well, my laptop. This is where I do my planning which leaves my mind free to concentrate on ONLY the task at hand, accomplishing things with peaceful clarity.

This is in stark contrast to trying to accomplish things with stress and doubt. I use an awesome program called ‘The Journal’ to do my planning and ‘To Do’ lists. I highly recommend it.

(3) Now decide on a time period to review your progress. Once a week will probably be best for most goals.

This is your opportunity for feedback. If things are progressing in the right direction, just keep going. If not, change something then assess again next time.

“But what if that doesn’t work?” Change something else
“And what if THAT doesn’t work?” Then change something else.

If you keep doing this, you’ll succeed sooner or later. A little analogy will help here…

A plane takes off from point A, heading to point B. Did you know that it is off-course for most of the journey? The trick is that the pilot is constantly assessing the position of the plane in relation to the destination. Throughout the journey, he/she will make minor modifications to put the craft back on-course. It’s a CONSTANT process the whole way to the destination.

This must be your approach to your goals and ambitions. Do NOT fear failure, learn from it. The way I see it, a life of ‘playing it safe’ is a life half-lived. Whatever it is you want, go for it and give it everything you have.

In all likelihood, if you are strong and wise enough to recognize failure as a learning opportunity, you WILL succeed in the end. Napoleon Hill says in the classic, ‘Think and Grow Rich’ that every so-called failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent or better success – I believe that!

Buyers of ‘Total Six Pack Abs‘ will notice how I applied this formula to the program. This is a familiar pattern to them by now.

(4) Succeed! If you faithfully apply the preceding 3 steps, you’ll reach your destination. Now you can take this knowledge and apply it to other goals and ambitions you have for your life. What you end up with is a life lived with enthusiasm; a life designed and created by you on your own terms.

Speeding Up The Process Of Goal Achievement

The above process can be accelerated. The fact is that someone else, somewhere in the world will already have achieved what you want – learn from them!

You don’t have to re-invent the wheel.

  • What tips do they have?
  • What strategies did they implement?
  • How did they deal with the challenges?

Model them. Basically that means, copy them. Copy their strategy and fine tune if necessary. What I like to do is hop over to Amazon.com or just go searching the net for those who can help me be where they are.

At the moment I have just under 100 books I have bought over the last few years. Everything from investing, to nutrition, to the ‘monistic idealist’ interpretation of quantum mechanics – phew!

As you can see, I am committed to lifelong learning, and loving every minute of it.

Now before I finish here, let me make it clear that you cannot shortcut the process with scams or anything else that would cause you lose your integrity. We live in a universe of exchange; you give, you get.

A wiser man than I once said, “You can get everything you want out of life, if you just help enough other people get what they want.”

True. If I want to run this site for a living, I know I have to give and keep giving for as long as it takes. I help you get what you want and you’ll help me get what I want. No business ever survived by providing the public something that they didn’t want.

I remember when I first started MuscleHack. I had this weekly practice in which I would sit  on my bed with my laptop, close my eyes and repeat into myself, “How can I serve, How can I serve, How can I serve…” over and over again. It was a great way to get ideas and inspiration for this site. You must adopt an attitude of service, focusing on the needs of your audience. The degree to which you accomplish this will be the degree to which you ultimately succeed.

I’ll leave you with a little poem I found in an old book called, “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill (if you buy this book, buy the version I have linked to -it’s truly the best one).

The Man Who Thinks He Can

If you think you’re beaten, you are;

If you think you dare not, you don’t.

If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,

It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost;

For out in the world we find

Success being with a fellow’s will;

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outclassed, you are;

You’ve got to think high to rise.

You’ve got to be sure of yourself

Before you can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man;

But soon or late, the one who wins

Is the man who thinks he can

Your Buddy,

Mark McManus
