If anyone watched GAME CHANGERS and became convinced to go vegan – and if your goal is to build muscle – you need a SERIOUS education in critical thinking abilities!

I’ve a lot to say about it, but I first want to talk about the dumb “Gladiator” claim at the start of the movie – I call it a movie. It’s not a documentary lol.

 

THE GAME CHANGERS GLADIATOR CLAIM

 

Stop thinking about Gladiators in the movies. THEY WERE NOT muscled up, shredded elite athletes lol. They were prisoners/slaves.

Yes they ate plant-based. Yes, they were called THE BARLEY MEN. But that was an insult. They were being RIDICULED because they could only eat cheap food – They were being fed prison food – the cheapest food around.

It was a high-carb diet to fatten them up. Yes…Gladiators were fat! The body fat added a later of protection.

 

GLADIATORS WERE FAT – NOT ATHLETES

 

This is from Archeology magazine on the Gladiator diet…

“Gladiators, it seems, were fat. Consuming a lot of carbohydrates, such as barley, and legumes, like beans, was designed for survival in the arena. Packing in the carbs also packed on the pounds. Gladiators needed subcutaneous fat. A fat cushion protects you from cut wounds and shields nerves and blood vessels in a fight. Not only would a lean gladiator have been dead meat, he would have made for a bad show. Surface wounds look more spectacular. If I get wounded but just in the fatty layer, I can fight on. It doesn’t hurt much, and it looks great for the spectators”

 

Game Changers represents one of the worst examples of cherry picking data I’ve ever seen.

And there’s a lot more to talk about. There’s barely a legitimate point raised in the whole movie. I’ll talk more about the other points later.
