@Arch. True, but to make up for the inferior amino acid profile and low bioavailability, someone who needs 200g protein from animal sources, would need 300-400g from plant sources every day. That&#039;s gonna be incredibly difficult. And you may need to spend a lot to supplement with large quantities of BCAAs. Animal protein doesn&#039;t require any of this. 					<description><![CDATA[Great post however I think it is misleading to also think that a plant based diet makes it harder to reach your athletic goals.  There are several superior olympic athletes in power based sports with superior physiques that are vegan or vegetarian.  Its a matter of getting the correct amounts of protein into your body foe optimal growth.  Yes you may need to eat more quantity of plant based proteins but the end result is the same.
