I used to gym with a technique of low to moderate
Like 5kg -10 reps , then 10kg -10 reps , 12.5 kg - 10 reps , but I can't see any change in my muscle growth after that I go for personal trainer and my coach make me to do less rep with high weights , he said u will lock your body and muscles if u do more rep with less reps (acc. To him this technique is for cutting of body ) , therefore he made me to do less rep but carry high weights

Plzz provide a proper solution to this what should I do sir
Thanks

@Simon. Perhaps you missed it, but warming up is covered in page 6 of the Chest Blast book. Yes, definitely an important point, buddy.
@Phil. Number of sets/volume does matter. 1 set to failure can stimulate growth as well. For full body training I recommend 2 sets per body part. I cover this in my free THT training book, you should download it to have your questions answered.
@Mike. Yes it does :D
@Eric Reid. You're absolutely right. This ego point you're making is exactly what I covered in my first podcast here https://musclehack.com/podcast-001/
Ego lifting and stimulating growth are NOT the same thing.
@Phi. My pleasure, bud :D

I completely agree with Mark and am loving the THT workouts, thanks for all of your hard work Mark.
    I would like to point out a couple things though. First, I am 38 years young and train in this rep range due to it being way better on my joints. Secondly, I really do believe for a younger lifter, going through a 5x5 program is a good idea to get your strength up, but only to raise your 9-12 rep maxes. But, as Mark has pointed out, the 9-12 range still produce strength when progressive loads are applied, killing two birds with one stone....so to speak.
   The 2 things that I see people lacking with 5x5's, and the like, are safety and the ability to leave your ego at the door. I rather enjoy the faces when people assume that I bench super heavy. They poke fun, but also wonder why my arms and chest are bigger, sadly they fail to realize their is actual science behind this and the fact, as Mark's workouts provide, that you have to train your whole body. I can't even begin to count the number of individuals that are so stuck on just benching, squatting, and arms.

Thanks again for all your hard work Mark.

Hey mark,
great post man, I had forgotten about this and was trying to add too much weight to my workout. not seeing any gains at all, my legs even shrank by 3 cm doing heavy weights. I had a serious injury doing heavy negative bench press because one of my spotters was an idiot, but more than likely I was the idiot for doing the heavy negatives before warming up.
BTW you should mention this in your chest blast, because that's how I injured myself, people have got to be warm first, if you go in cold you are going to get stung.

@Don. You should download my THT training package - it's all in there. Rest 2 minutes for smaller muscle, 3 for larger ones like squats and deadlifts.
@Joseph. Yes. You wouldn't believe how many people have thanked me for rescuing their joints when they switched over to THT training :)
